Worship Leader, Singer, Songwriter, Teacher and Pastor Mary-Ann Parer creates music that explores themes of love, freedom, identity, and healing through deeply personal and authentically penned lyrics and soulful melodies designed to take listeners on transformative journeys.
My Story
Born to a teenage mother and adopted at two weeks old, Mary-Ann was raised by a loving family in country Australia. Her early exposure to different cultures began when her family moved to the USA for two years shortly after her adoption, sparking a lifelong passion for travel and cultural exploration.
A transformative overseas trip in her twenties led to a genuine faith experience that redirected her life path. She pursued Bible College, songwriting, and recording after completing Primary Music Teaching. Later in life, she met her husband, and together they have faced challenges, including infertility, physical and spiritual healing which deepened her spiritual journey.
The Album: Beloved
Her sound blends fresh contemporary pop, gospel and soft rock ballads with rich vocal and orchestral arrangements. Mary-Ann's compositions are born from personal experiences of grief, healing, and overcoming fear and rejection. Having witnessedthe power of miraculous cancer healings—including her own mother's recovery from Stage 4 tongue and throat cancer—she writes from a place of profound gratitude and belief in the transformational power and healing of Jesus.
Musical Foundation: Mary-Ann's music is influenced by Whitney Houston, Norah Jones, Roxette, Joss Stone and Lauren Daigle. She trained as a contemporary vocalist and classical pianist after having completed K-12 Music Teaching and later a Diploma in worship, songwriting and minstry.

Ministry: Called to Lead Hearts Home
Mary-Ann Parer's ministry flows from the depths of personal transformation and divine encounter. As a worship leader, singer, songwriter, teacher, and pastor, she trained at C3 Bible College during the powerful spiritual outpouring of the mid-90s, later studying at Bethel online Supernatural School. She carries a burning passion to see God's people fully revived, healed and restored.
A Heart for Intimate Worship
Mary-Ann loves to lead congregations with both power and sensitivity into God's presence, creating intimacy where healing, deliverance, and prophetic worship can flow. Her approach isn't simply about music—it's about creating encounters that transform lives and awaken hearts to their true identity as beloved children of God.
Born from Brokenness, Birthed for Breakthrough
As an adopted child who has wrestled with abandonment, shame, and the deep wounds that many carry in silence, Mary-Ann understands the journey from brokenness to wholeness. Her own experiences with identity, singleness, infertility and a passion for physical and inner healing have compelled her to pursue healing in every area of life. This has shaped her ministry to speak hope and to believe for breakthroughs into the darkest places of human experience.
Her ministry carries a profound pro-life message—not one of condemnation, but of restoration and healing for those still living with the consequences of difficult choices. She awakens young people to the preciousness of life while bringing compassion to those who need healing from their past.
The Father's Love Revealed
Many believers have met Jesus but have never fully grasped the deep, pursuing love of the Father. Mary-Ann's calling centres on Ephesians 1 and Romans 8—helping God's people understand their identity as chosen, adopted children who are invited to ‘come home’and to receive the Spirit of adoption.
Her songs emerge from places of contending for miracles, healing, and signs and wonders, both for her own life and for others. Each composition reflects the incredible love of a heavenly Father who pursues His children with relentless grace.
